April 8, Mariott Grand Hotel, Moscow – Homes Overseas Russian Awards 2010! First Overseas Property Awards in Russia took place. The Awards were launched by the leading specialized magazine Homes Overseas, and the best projects had been evaluated. The Awards consisted of two stages. The Organizers received around 250 applications. The geography was quite impressive. The Awards included participants from well-known destination such as Bulgaria, Turkey, Egypt as well as new (for Russians!) places, like Chile, Malta, Portugal, etc. The Jury consists of the best experts of the industry. They chose 38 best projects that went through to the second stage. During the second stage, the Jury evaluated the projects more precisely, having access to all the information about the complexes, using a variety of criteria, among of them: quality of the construction, infrastructure, location, the reputation of the developer, etc. As a result the participants would get one of the prizes – Golden, Silver and Bronze. The awarding ceremony attracted over 200 people, dealing with Overseas Property industry. Among the guests were the representatives of nominees, members of the Jury, foreign diplomats and property professionals. The ceremony was opened by the ambassador of Montenegro in Russia, Phd, Slobodan Batskovich. The hosts were the artists of ‘Ermitage’ theatre – Olga Levitina and Aleksandre Lyvanov. One after one all the projects were awarded in 18 nominations. The voting results came as a pleasant surprise. For Instance, in the nomination “Best project in Bulgaria” the Golden Awards found two owners: Santa Marina (Sozopol) and Grand Monastery (Pamporovo). In nomination “Best project in Cyprus” also two golden awards were granted to Aphrodite Hills and Akamas Bay Villas (Lachi). Another surprise was Finland, presented by two high-level projects from major developers: YIT and Holiday Club Resorts Oy. Although there was no third project, the nomination still took place due to the quality of presented complexes. The Swiss project Du Park Kempinski Private Residences on the coast of lake Geneve, exclusively presented in Russia by Knight Frank, won four golden Awards in nominations “Best apartement complex”, “Best luxury project”, “Best ecological project” and “Best architecture of the complex”. The Grand-Prix, they received as well seemed logical and the project turned into absolute winner of the Awards. The last days before Gala-dinner, the internet voting was opened, where all the visitors of the website could vote for the project they like. There were two evident leaders of the voting “SanVista” from Montenegro and “Palme Royale” (Egypt). The voting was closed on the afternoon before the awarding ceremony. After all, the company Jauza with the project “SanVista” got the special prize with a small advantage. The sponsors were presented by the leading companies, working on Russian market of Overseas Property. The main sponsor of the Awards was Pafilia Property Developers, official sponsors – the Overseas property department of “Best-realty” corporation and Runiga real estate agency. The guests came to a conclusion that Homes Overseas Russian Awards 2010 was very successful. Most of the competitors noted the objectiveness of the Jury, good organization of Gala-dinner which created a comfortable and nice atmosphere.
